4th-5th Grade In-House Football Details

4th & 5th grade is combined and players are divided into Lightweight and Heavyweight Divisions

=========================================================

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

=========================================================

Players are welcome to join Irish Youth Football during the years that they are in 4th or 5th grade based on the 2021-2022 school year.

=========================================================

LEVEL OF COMMITMENT

=========================================================

A higher level of time commitment (up to 4 events per week) is required for Irish Youth Football. This is due to the level of play, the complexity of the offense and defense, and the high level of teamwork that goes into forming a football team.

=========================================================

COST

=========================================================

$120

Includes cost for game jersey, practice jersey, mouth guard(s), shoulder pads, helmet. Practice jerseys and mouth guard(s) are kept by the player at the end of the season.  Helmets, Game jerseys and shoulder pads must be returned at the end of the season. For insurance reasons we cannot allow individuals to purchase and use their own helmets.

=========================================================

LEAGUE ORGANIZATION

=========================================================

4th / 5th Grade

  • 8-10 teams total
    • 4 to 5 Lightweight
    • 4 to 5 Heavyweight
  • Lightweight and Heavyweight division weight split will be determined after weigh-ins are completed at the equipment pick up and time trials.
  • Teams are formed by individual performance at the time trials and combine.  Significant effort is made to create balanced teams across both divisions

=====================================================================

PARENT VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENT

=====================================================================

Parents of 4th – 5th grade players are required to volunteer at one event during the season.   DIBS are a part of our travel football program, and begin ahead of the actual start of the season.  DIBS sessions begin in June and go through December and the bingo shifts will be at The Clover Bar and Restaurant in Rosemount. Shifts are currently live online; sign up early to make sure you get your preferred time slot. https://www.rosemountfootball.com/dib_sessions/show/14505

Please note that if you do not sign up to volunteer before the season starts, a volunteer responsibility will be assigned to you.  If you are unable to fulfill the shift assigned, it will be your responsibility to find someone to cover it.
