2020 In-House Basketball 1st-2nd Grade Winter Skills Clinics
The Winter Skills Clinics will be offered from January 11th,25th, February 1st and Febraury 8th for 1st and 2nd grade boys (see separate registration for girls). These 4 Saturday morning clinics led and organized by In-House Coordinators and run by volunteer parent coaches. Clinics will be 1 hour in length and will be a combination of stations, fundamental skills, contests and small-sided games. These sessions focus more on developing the skills to be a better player and also will give the players workouts and drills to do on their own in the off-season. The first 3 clinics will mainly be focused on skill work and the last clinic will be a combination of small-sided games, 3 on 3, 4 on 4, and Group Free Throw Contest.
Each player will receive an Irish Basketball T-shirt.
Capacity: Maximum of 50 participants per age group. Registration will close once that max is reached.
Important Dates (Subject to change)
Dates : January 11th, 25th and February 1st, 8th
Times: At this time we do not know the exact times as it will depend on numbers of players in each grade. Clinics for sure will be run with the first clinic beginning at 9:30 am and the last clinic at the latest starting at 11:30 am.
The winter clinics need volunteer coaches to help the coordinators teach the skills and help organize players from station to station. Every week, coaches will receive a clinic plan with drills, skill focus and coaching tips that will help them with their breakdown skill. If possible, would be great to have 2 coaches per 6-8 kids. Please consider giving a bit of your time and talent!
