Our mission is to create an enjoyable, memorable yet competitive experience for girls, providing instructional guidance at an intermediate to advanced level in the fundamentals and competition of fast pitch softball.

Age is determined by birthday on or before January 1 in the year of the summer season. Proof of age is required to participate in tournaments.

 

AGE BRACKET IS CLASSIFIED AS:

14U - Girls born in 2005 & 2006

16U - Girls born in 2003 & 2004

The level of play at 14U will be determined by the coach at the time of team formation. One 14U team could be an 'Elite' team that could include girls that are not from Rosemount and the team roster is at the discretion of the Head Coach.

Thes 16U team is considered a 'Select' team that could include girls that are not from Rosemount and the team roster is at the discretion of the Head Coach. Returning players for 16U that are offered a roster spot will not be required to try-out.

Fees:  $5 payable now with registration to try-out. Final fees will be determined once teams are selected and formed. (see estimates below for the entire year; fees will be billed in 2 installments: upon acceptance of roster spot and in January 2020.)

14U Elite fees: $950-$1,100 depending on final selection of tournaments. Will include 7-8 paid tournaments; 2019 Fall league play; 2020 Summer Gold League Play; Off-season Wednesday & Friday night Dome training in Rosemount including hitting instruction; 1 session of off-season Dome League play (this is a rough schedule of events and is subject to change)

14U fees: $650-$750 includes 5 paid tournaments plus 1 Rosemount hosted tournament; 2019 Tri-County Fall League play; Tri-County or Gold 2020 Summer League Play; Off-season Wednesday & Friday night Dome training in Rosemount including hitting instruction; (this is a rough schedule of events and is subject to change) 

16U fees: $650-$750 includes 5-6 paid tournaments; Tri-County or Gold 2020 Summer League Play; Off-season Wednesday & Friday night Dome training in Rosemount including hitting instruction; (this is a rough schedule of events and is subject to change) 

Try-outs: Mandatory try-outs for ROSEMOUNT 14U teams are on Monday July 22 and Tuesday July 23 from 5pm-8pm at Erickson Park. Try-outs will include hitting, bunting, fielding, pop flies, base running and pitching/catching(if applicable). There may also be a short scrimmage at the end.

Teams: A communication will be sent to individual girls by Friday July 26 as to whether they have made a team. Girls that are not initially selected for a team will be put on a waiting list. Girls selected for a team and wishing to play with Rosemount MUST accept by paying their invoiced $300 non-refundable deposit by August 2. Girls on the waiting list will be contacted by August 5, if not sooner, and will be allowed to register late, if a roster spot opens up. Girls not selected for a team should contact the Program Director, Michael Leppones, for other opportunities at neighboring associations.

 

Schedule: Girls that are selected for a Rosemount 14U or 16U team are expected to be with that team during the Fall season, off-season training/tournaments and the 2020 Spring Season. Alternate scheduling should be worked out on an individual basis with the head coach.

Equipment:  Bases, balls and catchers equipment provided.  Players must purchase their own sliding pad, sliding shorts, glove, Rip-It Vision Pro: Gloss-Home-Navy helmet with chin strap, cleats (metal is acceptable) and bat. Defensive face masks are highly recommended but not mandatory.

Volunteer Requirements:    Parents in all age groups are expected to work a set amount of hours at the Rosemount hosted games/tournaments in the Fall and Spring. Volunteer hours will be communicated at a later time. To insure the hours are worked, all parents are required to provide a volunteer check ($125 Fall / $250 Spring) to the coach/team manager, which is returned or destroyed upon completetion of their volunteer hours.
