2017 Irish Youth Football, Grades 3rd-6th Details

Participation Requirements

Players are welcome to join Irish Youth Football during the years that they are in the 3rd through 6th grade. Their grade is based on the 2017-2018 school year. 

Level of Commitment

A higher level of time commitment (4 events per week) is required for Irish Youth Football. This is due to the level of play, the complexity of the offense and defense, and the high level of teamwork that goes into forming a football team. 

Parents of 5th & 6th grade players are required to volunteer at one event during the season.  Opportunities to do this will be labeled "Youth Football" and posted throughout the year at http://www.rosemountfootball.com/dib_sessions.  You will need to create a Sport Ngin account if you do not already have one.  

Please note that if you do not sign up to volunteer before the season starts, a volunteer responsibility will be assigned to you.  If you are unable to fulfill the shift assigned, it will be your responsibility to find someone to cover it.    

Volunteering is optional for parents of 3rd and 4th grade players.  Parents that coach or serve on the Irish Youth Football Board are exempt from the volunteer requirement.

Parent Meeting - Mandatory

When:  July 30th – Sunday

Meeting Start Time:  12:00pm

Where:  RHS Performing Arts Center Auditorium

Equipment Handout - Mandatory

When:  July 30th – Sunday

Time:  Immediately following Parent Meeting

Where:  RHS Student Center

Equipment Issued by IYF:

  • Helmet
  • Shoulder Pads
  • Mouth Guard

Equipment Handout NOTES:

  • Returning players should bring their previous year’s jersey to equipment handout
  • First year players will be given a jersey to wear for evaluations
  • White football Pants will be sold by the Swag Shop during Equipment Handout (Cost:  $20 - $30)
  • There will be a limited supply of donated used cleats and pants available free of charge.
  • Equipment Deposit:  $125  [The deposit is required at equipment handout.  The deposit must be made in the form of a check-cash and credit cards are not accepted.  Your check will not be cashed unless the equipment is not returned]

3 Day Mini-Camp - Mandatory

No equipment is needed for mini-camp.
